Todd Goddard is a writer and associate professor of literary studies at Utah Valley University in Orem, UT. He writes and presents on a range of topics pertaining to American literature and culture. His work has been funded by a Mellon Grant, a Bordin-Gillette Fellowship from the University of Michigan, a Presidential Fellowship from UVU, and a Vilas Research Travel Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Goddard’s current project is a biography of the writer Jim Harrison, whose twenty-one books of fiction, including Legends of the Fall and Dalva, and fourteen books of poetry influenced a generation of writers. Harrison helped to shape the course of contemporary American literature, revitalizing in particular the novella form, of which he was a recognized master.

Goddard’s a fisherman, food and wine enthusiast, skier and hiker, and an aspiring naturalist. He lives in Park City, Utah.
